Cobquecura a hidden treasure in the Bío Bío Region of Chile.

Chilean National Monument:

- Natural Marine Sanctuary of large sea lion colonies, with more than 1800 and a natural sea cavern, “Stone Church.”

- Historical Village, of 19TH century buildings.

Cobquecura maintains agricultural traditions and ox carts compete with bicycles and vehicles along scenic roads.

The traditional cuisine consists of shellfish, in particular swimmer crabs.  The area is also known for its roast pig and lamb.

A secret, increasingly difficult to hide, is the world-class surfing opportunities along the many beaches of the area.
